Dr. Scott Peterson

Dr. Scott Peterson is a general dentist with extensive training and experience in oral implantology. He graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1986 and subsequently attended hospital internships at St. Joseph's Hospital and the University Hospital in London, Ontario. He is a member of the International College of Oral Implantologists, The Toronto Implant Institute and the Toronto Implant Study Club. He has extensive training in bone augmentation, implant surgery and restorative solutions.

Dr. Scott Brown

Dr. Scott Brown graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1989 and began practicing that year in Kingston. He is happy to offer a wide range of dental treatment including sedation dentistry, including Oral Sedation, and Nitrous Oxide.

Dr. Stephanie Ponsford

Dr. Stephanie Ponsford is a Maritimer from Halifax, Nova Scotia where she obtained a Bachelor of Science from Saint Mary’s University in 2007 and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Dalhousie University in 2011. She prides herself on being a lifelong learner who often exceeds Continuing Education requirements and has developed her own practice of dentistry that is both patient centric and compassionate. She loves to work with motivated, driven teams, who are open to new ideas.

Dr. Ponsford has been blessed to practice across Canada in a number of patient focused practices including Stony Plain and Edmonton, Alberta, satellite clinics across Nunavut and most recently in Moncton, New Brunswick! She has a certificate to commemorate her stay in the Arctic Circle (Naujaat, NU) and has experienced feels like -60 temperatures! She has hiked over half of the day trails in the beautiful Fundy National Park (NB). She is working towards a minimalistic lifestyle and has a passion for reading and oil painting.

Dr. Yan Wu

Dr. Yan Wu obtained his Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Toronto. Before becoming a dentist, Dr. Wu worked as a cancer researcher at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto. Later on, He started practicing dentistry in Northern Ontario and participated in humanitarian projects to provide free dental care to underserved communities in the Caribbean. Dr. Wu focuses on patient-centred care and tailors treatments specifically to each individual’s needs and wishes. He is happy to serve our patients in both English and Chinese.

Outside of Dentistry, Dr. Wu enjoys exploring nature, hiking, skiing, and spending time with his dog Alex – a Border Collie.

Dr. Chris Godbout

Dr. Chris Godbout grew up in a small village in southern New Brunswick. In 2001 he moved to Toronto to study chemistry where he met his wife-to-be Lynda. They both then moved together to Montreal in 2005 where they started graduate school (and while in Montreal, their family). In 2011 Dr. Chris decided to pivot from materials chemistry research into dentistry. He continued to study at McGill and graduated with honours in 2015.

Dr. Chris is a general dentist who has developed an interest in comprehensive oral rehabilitation using a multidisciplinary approach through the application of modern digital workflows. While at McGill he received several awards for patient care and prosthodontics. His graduate research in materials science and chemical physics has given him a unique perspective on the use of modern dental materials, surface science and CAD/CAM technologies.

Chris, Lynda and their three daughters got the opportunity to move to Kingston in 2019 where they can be close to Lynda's family. They are looking forward to meeting new people and experiencing all that Kingston has to offer.

Dr. Valerie McLeod, Anesthetist

Dr. Valerie McLeod, MD, CCFP (FPA), is a Family Practice Anesthetist, who practises in the hospitals in Kingston and Napanee, in addition to the Kingston Dental Anesthesia Clinic portion of Meadowbrook. She graduated from Medical School at Queen's University in 2006, and completed her Family Practice Anesthesia residency in 2009, also through Queen's University. She took over the role of Medical Director at the Kingston Dental Anesthesia Clinic in 2011, which provides deep sedation and general anesthesia for dental procedures. She is an assistant professor with the Queen's University Departments of Family Medicine and Anesthesiology, and fulfills the role of Enhanced Skills Anesthesia Program Director.

Dr. Kristina Polsinelli, Anesthetist

Dr. Kristina Polsinelli MD, CCFP (FPA), is a Family Practice Anesthetist, who practises in the hospitals in Kingston, in addition to the Kingston Dental Anesthesia Clinic portion of Meadowbrook. She graduated from Medical School at Western University in 2001, completed her Family Medicine residency at Queen’s University and finished her Family Practice Anesthesia residency through the University of Toronto in 2004. She joined the Kingston Dental Anesthesia Clinic in 2017, which provides deep sedation and general anesthesia for dental procedures. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.

Judy has been a familiar face at the front desk, serving the patients of Meadowbrook Dental Centre for 25 years.

Gail joined the Meadowbrook Dental Team in 2007 after obtaining a Certificate with Distinction in Windows Application from St. Lawrence College. With over 17 years of providing customer service in both Floral Design and as a Dental Administrator, Gail strives to make your visit with us as pleasant as possible. She enjoys spending time with her husband, two grown children and her dog.

Dorothy graduated from The Kingston Learning Centre in 2009. She works both with Meadowbrook Dental Centre and Kingston Dental Implant Solutions.

Tanya joined Meadowbrook in 2015 and currently works fulltime as part of our Reception Team. Tanya graduated as a Dental Assistant in 2002 and went on to complete her Medical Administration Certification in 2007. She enjoys the friendly atmosphere of our practice. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Jeannie graduated with Honours from Trillium College in 2019 as a Medical Office Assistant and joined our team in 2019. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband, two sons and her fur babies.

Barbara Chris Ingrid Alicia
Karen Katie

Barbara began working with Dr. Peterson as a Dental Assistant in 1988. She entered the dental hygiene program at Durham College and graduated in 1991 and has been a member of the Meadowbrook Dental team since that time. She is a member of KDDHS, ODHA, and CDHO. When she is not working, Barb enjoys Carribean travel in particular Holguin, Cuba. She has a passion for photography and attending her daughter's swim meets.

Chris began working with Dr. Peterson in 1989 as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She graduated from Durham College in 1980. She also is a member of KDDHS, ODHA, CDHO. Her hobbies include triathalons, marathons, and adventurous activities! This year one of her accomplishments was to summit Mount Kilomanjaro along with six others including two Canadian Parathletes. Among her biggest accomplishments are raising her two children along with her husband Michael.

Ingrid started her dental career graduating from Dental Assisting from George Brown College in 1990. She immediately went on to graduate from George Brown College in Dental Hygiene in 1992. Ingrid has been part of our team since 2015 and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our office. She approaches patient care with individual attention in a comfortable setting. In her spare time Ingrid enjoys golf, biking, and cooking. She especially values her family time!

Alicia joined the Meadowbrook team in 2016. She graduated from Algonquin College in 2004 with her certificate for Level II Dental Assisting. She practiced in Lyndhurst, Ontario for six years before returning to school for Dental Hygiene. After graduating with honours, she worked for an additional six years in the same practice. Alicia has completed many hours of continuing education and holds Certification as a Temporal Mandibular Assistant. Alicia is a member of the CDAA, CDHO, CDHA, KDDHS and is authorized to self-initiate treatment by the CDHO. When Alicia isn’t working she enjoys spending time with her husband Mark, daughter Delaney and son Desmond.

Karen was a Dental Assistant for eight years before returning to school for dental hygiene. She enjoys getting to know her clients as the years go by and watching the transformation from children to having children of their own.

Katie has been a self-initiated Dental Hygienist for over 15 years. She is a member of CDHO and CDHA. Originally from BC, she came to Ontario for school then met her husband and started a family. What she loves about being a hygienist is meeting so many different people and helping them feel comfortable while providing quality care.


Dental Assistants

Loretta (C.D.A. Level 11) graduated from Toronto School of Business in 1987. Loretta has been with Dr. Scott Peterson and Dr. Scott Brown since 1991. She alternates between Meadowbrook Dental Centre and Kingston Dental Implant Solutions where she is instrumental in assisting with Learning Implant Training Education courses. Loretta hails from Newfoundland and brings her downhome humour to us daily.

Ana graduated from Algonquin College in 2004 and received her CDA Level II with Honours. Shortly after she moved to southern, sunny California where she acquired her meticulous and caring working skills. Ana moved to Kingston from El Salvador back in 1985 and she speaks both English and Spanish fluently. Ana joined our Meadowbrook Dental team in March 2019 and will always have a smile and a positive attitude towards your dental experience. Hope to see you soon!

Kylie joined Meadowbrook Dental Team in 2018 when she moved to Kingston to be with her military partner. Kylie grew up in Oshawa and graduated from Durham College in 2013. When she is not working she spends a lot of time going home to see her big family and taking care of her many pets!

Shavon joined the Meadowbrook Team in 2021 when she realized she wanted to pursue a career as a Dental Assistant. She will be attending KLC for the Intra Oral Dental Assistant Level 2 Program in 2021. Shavon is currently Meadowbrook’s sterilizer. She is originally from the Kingston area but was raised in Germany for 10 years and also lived in the U.S. for 4 years. During her free time she enjoys travelling with her family and spending time with her friends and her beautiful husky.

Montana was born and raised in Kingston where she graduated from KLC College with honours from the Intra Oral Dental Assisting program. She has had a love for art ever since a young age, teaching herself new styles of painting and drawing throughout the years. When not at Meadowbrook, you can find her with family and her dogs enjoying the great outdoors.

Andrea grew up in Kingston and after spending some time in Toronto working in the film & television industry she returned home and attended KLC College where she graduated with Honours from the Intra Oral Dental Assistant Program. Andrea also coaches girl’s competitive gymnastics when not working at Meadowbrook. She also has a passion for travel, history and photography.
